In this fast-paced world, old-fashioned "customer service" appears to be relegated to the past. We had frankly given up on the concept, particularly in our current world, where it's the "bottom line" that is the goal, and service has all but vanished. That being said, we would like to state that our experience with ULC's local staff was anything BUT lacking in customer service. We wished to refinance our "second" home, in preparation for retiring there. Obviously, information and documentation of our finances/obligations were required. During the acquisition of this data, there were unexpected roadblocks. ULC received inaccurate and outdated information, that needed clarification. The situation, at times, appeared to be completely insurmountable. The process was difficult and frustrating, at best, related to bureaucratic mazes and inefficient systems in place in the banking and travel industries.
